Hi, I’m Peter Akhigbe, the founder and main writer behind Majona.
Majona is where I document my real experiences in technology. No generic tutorials, no AI-generated filler. Every article comes from something I’ve personally built, tested, broken, or struggled with.
I created this blog because I noticed that most tech content online falls into two buckets: corporate marketing thinly disguised as advice, or shallow listicles that don’t actually help anyone. I wanted a space where the stories were honest, the data was real, and the lessons came from actual scar tissue, not theory.
What We Cover
Majona focuses on first-hand tech storytelling. That means:
- Personal project deep-dives, complete with real numbers, mistakes, and what I’d do differently.
- Documented experiments, from hardware tinkering to software benchmarks I ran myself.
- Insights from my own career in tech (development, infrastructure, and everything in between).
- Occasional commentary on technology trends that affect everyday Nigerians, because context matters.
If a topic shows up here, it’s because someone on this team has lived it.
Who’s Behind the Words
I’m a software engineer with over 3 years of hands-on work in full-stack software engineering. I write from that direct experience.
Right now the team is small, mostly just me and occasional contributions from people I trust. Every article has a real human name attached to it, and we take full responsibility for what we publish.
Our Commitment to Integrity
At Majona, we don’t chase outrage clicks or pretend to have all the answers. Our content is built on these principles:
- We write from experience. We don’t publish anything we haven’t personally tested or researched deeply.
- We correct our mistakes. If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and add a visible correction note at the top of the article.
- We’re transparent. If a post includes affiliate links or sponsored content, we say so clearly and upfront.
- We don’t let outside money shape our stories. Advertisers and sponsors have zero influence over what we cover or how we cover it.
Why “Majona”?
The name Majona represents my personal journal. But what matters most isn’t the name — it’s the trust you place in us when you act on something you read here. We take that seriously.
